Being nocturnal myself, I stayed up all night and saw (and took video of) elephants, rhinoceros, lions, tons of birds, all within forty or fifty feet of the compound.

Then, about 5:00 in the morning, just before the glow of dawn, I was outside alone on a parapet when I saw movement out in the brush about 30 yards away. As I focused my camera on the movement, the invisible creature stopped, and suddenly through the black of darkness and the obscuring bush, I could just see two tiny spots, glowing. They literally shone yellow-green, flashing in the darkness. Then, for just an instant I saw the black panther look toward me, lift his nose just slightly to sense the air, and then slink away. The "hello" was instantaneous, but the "goodbye" has never left me....

So, with you, my friend,
TimTim McMullenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04840770464754311701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6026171904413475346.post-41300612832475189772011-07-08T15:22:57.153-07:002011-07-08T15:22:57.153-07:00This is so beautifully written! Some even dress up like holy cows for what it matters....
Anyway, your hello and if so goodbye will stay with this one, just like every sighting of you in this jungle world....
