(part 188) ZERO SUM GAME

I WAS MAD
AT GOD
I WAS MAD
AT FAME
BUT I KEPT
ON TRYIN
IN A ZERO
SUM GAME

IT BEAT ME
SENSELESS
IT BEAT ME
BAD
BUT I KEPT
ON TRYIN
GAVE IT
ALL I HAD

I SCRAPED
MYSELF
OFF THE
WALLS OF SHAME
AND I KEPT
ON TRYIN
IN A ZERO
SUM GAME

PEOPLE JUST
LAUGHED
AND TURNED
THEIR BACK
SHOOK
THEIR HEADS
AS MY LIFE
TURNED BLACK

BUT I DIDN'T
QUIT
I TOOK
THE PAIN
AND I'M
STILL HERE
IN A ZERO
SUM GAME
